Abstract Submission Protocol

Research Competition

Abstract content is reviewed by a pane; of judges who evaluate the work based on its overall quality, originality, and relevance to the medical fields. Abstracts are not considered to be a prior publication of the work for the purposes of a journal publication. The selection of abstracts is based on the following criteria :

  • Quality of Work : The rigor and thoroughness of the research conducted.
  • Novelty of approach : The originality and innovation of the research methods and ideas.
  • Significance of the Contribution : The impact and importance of the research findings to the medical field.
  • Clarity of Written Presentation : The lucidity and coherence of the abstract.

Confidentiality of submissions is maintained during the whole review process. All rejected submissions are kept confidential in perpetuity. All submitted materials for the accepted submissions are kept confidential until the start of the conference. The launch of the digital conference abstracts , including only the title and author information, will be released on the website before the conference. Submissions should not contain sensitive, private, or proprietary information that cannot be disclosed at the time of publication.

Competition Overview

IMRC2025 features two categories of research competition : Oral presentation and E-poster presentation. Each category is divided into five tracks :

  1. Basic Science in Medical Research
  2. Public Health and Epidemiology Research
  3. Clinical and Translational Research
  4. Medical Education Research
  5. Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis Research

Submissions outside of these categories may be considered on a case-by-case basis, subject to evaluation by the organizing committee.

General Rules & Regulation

  1. All submissions must be in English.
  2. Research from all fields is welcome, regardless of alignment with the conference theme, “Sustainable Healthcare: Integrating Medical Innovations for Sustainable Development Goals.”
  3. Any submission containing plagiarism will be immediately disqualified.
  4. The submission deadline must be strictly followed; late submissions will not be considered.
  5. Co-authors from multiple institutions are allowed, but only one presenter can register as the presenting author.
  6. For the competition, only the registered presenter is permitted to deliver the presentation and answer questions.
  7. The academic committee will recognize only the most recent version of the submitted presentation material before the deadline.
  8. All decisions made by the judging panels are final.
  9. If more than one person delivers the presentation, the team will be disqualified and will not be eligible to receive an award.

Selection Process

  1. Abstracts will be reviewed by three medical health professional reviewers.
  2. Abstracts not accepted for oral presentation will automatically be reconsidered for E-poster presentation.
  3. IMRC announces accepted abstracts in September 15th, 2025 via registered email.

Abstract Submission

The presenter of the research must be a current undergraduate student attending a medical school or a former medical student who recently graduated in 2025, with the submitted research study conducted and completed before graduation.

  • Submission Deadline: August 15th, 2025, GMT +7. No changes can be made to the abstract after the submission deadline.
  • Results Announcement: September 15th, 2025, GMT +7.

    3. Abstract content :
      • Background/Introduction
      • Objective
      • Methods
      • Results
      • Conclusion
      • Keywords (at least 3 words)
  • Word Limit: 350 words
  • Language: English only. All local words or phrases used should be provided with an English translation.
  • Other Conditions
    All areas of research are encouraged to participate, regardless of whether they align with the conference theme “Sustainable Healthcare: Integrating Medical Innovations for Sustainable Development Goals,”

Abstract submission

Study Guidelines

  1. Studies should present a significant new contribution in the biomedical, clinical, or public health fields.
  2. The same protocol cannot be submitted for more than one competition.
  3. All research topics from undergraduate students are welcome and do not need to be limited to the theme of the conference.

Types of Competitions

Oral Presentation

  1. Participants have to submit their presentation material(s) on the website before November 30th, 2025, GMT+7.
  2. Presentation File Format: PowerPoint Presentation (.ppt or .pptx)
  3. Session Assignment: Presentation sessions will be assigned by track. Time and presentation sequence will be sent to your registered email. Please prepare yourself about 30 minutes before your session begins.
  4. Onsite Presentation: Presenters can check their presentation files 45-60 minutes before the session begins.
  5. Presentation Time: 10 minutes total (7 minutes for presentation, 3 minutes for questions and answers)
    • Warning sound: 2 times (at the 5th and 7th minutes)
    • Computer and LCD projector will be available for onsite presenters.
  6. Online Presentation: Attending online preparation workshops and ensuring the readiness of your online devices are compulsory. The detailed schedule will be announced later on the official Facebook page, website, and via your registered email.
  7. Final Presentation: This round determines the best overall oral scientific presentation. The winner of each track will qualify to participate in the final presentation. In this round, a recording of your presentation will be played before the questions and answers session begins for 1-2 minutes.

Final Round Competition

For the oral presentation competition, the winner of each track (Basic science, Community-based, Hospital-based, Medical education and Systematic review and meta-analysis) will be qualified to participate in the final round competition. The winner of the competition is awarded Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s Trophy.

E-Poster Presentation

  1. Participants have to submit their presentation material(s) on the website before November 30th, 2025, GMT+7.
  2. Poster file format :
    • 300 PPI/DPI, Landscape poster
    • Size: 1920x1080 pixels
    • Presentation file format: PDF and PNG
  3. For online delegates, attending online preparation workshops and the readiness of online devices are compulsory.
  4. The presentation session will be assigned by track of the E-poster presentation. Time and presentation sequence are sent to the registered email. Please prepare yourself before your session begins about 20 minutes.
  5. For an onsite presentation, the delegate can come to check your poster file about 30-45 minutes before the competition begins.
    • Presentation time: 8 minutes (5 minutes for presentation, 3 minutes for questions and answers)
    • Warning sound: 1 time (at the 4th minute)
  6. All delegates’ posters will be displayed online or onsite .

Eligibility Criteria for IMRC Presenters

To ensure a high standard of academic and research quality, presenters must meet the following eligibility criteria:
Undergraduate Medical Student Status
The presenter must be a current undergraduate medical student enrolled in an accredited medical school program at the time of the submission and presentation.
Recent Graduate Eligibility
Recent medical school graduates (graduated within the past 12 months) are eligible to present, provided that the research was conducted during their undergraduate studies.
Significant Contribution to the Research
The presenter must have had a substantial and meaningful role in the research project. This includes, but is not limited to, contributing to the study design, data collection, data analysis, or writing and reviewing.
Original Research Requirement
The presented work must be an original research project conducted by the medical student(s) during their undergraduate training. Collaborative research projects are permitted, but the presenter must be able to demonstrate their individual role and contributions within the team.
One presenter for research topic
Each research topic may have only one presenter for the competition. The registered presenter is solely responsible for delivering the presentation and answering questions during the session. Co-authors will not be allowed to present or participate in the Q&A session but will be acknowledged in the Certificate of Achievement.
